I have been photographing Hull weddings since 2004 and having lived in the area for over 50 I have witnessed a lot of change in that time. Having shot countless wedding’s in and around the Yorkshire area it’s always great to engage with some local Hull wedding photography and the lovely couples from my home city.
I was delighted when Hull was awarded the city of Culture 2017 and I am very excited about the year ahead. Its a great time to live and be creative in Hull!.
Hull has some lovely venues for your big day Hull city Hall and The Guildhall are both prestigious and historic building’s with grand staircases, balconies and lovely victorian interiors, for something a bit more post modern we have The Deep, the worlds most spectacular aquarium which overlooks the humber and is stocked with fish from all over the world, a great backdrop for your wedding day, other fantastic venues that I have covered wedding’s in include Kcom Stadium home of our Premiership football Team, Hull city football club, Mercure Hull Royal Hotel which as established itself as one of the central landmarks of the city, with it’s victorian architecture and art decor interior this is another great venue. Holiday Inn which is situated next to Hull’s own marina on a Sunny day you could be mistaken for thinking you were abroad with the cafe and bar culture adjacent to this stunning marina, a great backdrop for your wedding images and of course not forgetting the world famous Humber Bridge, you are spoilt for choice. These are only a few of the many venues I have visited over the years for marriages and civil partnerships
As well as these venues Hull has a large number of churches the most historic of these been the 700 year old Holy trinity situated in the old part of Hull. Overall the city has an abundance of great venues for your Big day.
