Rise Hall
It was such a pleasure to be doing another wedding at Rise Hall, I really love this wedding venue with it’s magnificent grounds and stunning architecture. Wedding’s at Rise Hall are always a wonderful experience for the team and what a fantastic day we all had. Rise Hall is located in a quiet village east of Hull in the county of East Yorkshire and was purchased for renovation in 2001 by Sarah Beeney the property-developer and TV presenter. In November 2010 Sarah presented, Beeney’s Restoration Nightmare on C4 showing her plans for the renovation of Rise Hall as a family home and wedding venue. Wedding’s at Rise Hall are now a thriving business, and the venue is run perfectly by Helen and her team; and we are always made to feel very welcome whenever we work there.
The Wedding Day
We arrived at Rise Hall for 11am and and made our way to the bridal suite to get some natural-light portraits as well as some of the detail that will be part of the day including the dress, jewellery, shoes etc. Abi and her bridesmaids were already looking radiant and, with help from Tracy and Lee, we set a few shots up in the room before moving onto capturing some great shots of Karl and his best-man outside. Abi and her bridal party all looked fantastic as Abi walked down the isle to meet Karl and a beautiful ceremony followed. After the formal shots it was nice to get some more portrait shots using natural-light and diffused off-camera flash around the venues beautiful grounds. The rest of the day ran smoothly and following the speeches we sat down to eat some beautifully cooked food which laid on by Mark and Abi and which was gratefully appreciated by me and my whole team. The rest of the day flowed and we were soon photographing the first dance which for us was the conclusion of a stunning day.
